Reminder from the State Board

The WY State Board of Examiners wants to remind you that all your CE is due by the end of the year.  They will be auditing 100% of the membership again this year.  Everyone has had their OE tracker paid for by the state so you can log on and see how many and what type of hours you have.  If you have not gotten all your hours you will be charged a fee and may lose your ability to practice for a while.  So everyone needs to check now and so you can get any delinquent hours in.

Have you donated to AOA PAC for 2017?

Thank you to our WOA doctors who have already donated to the AOA PAC!

As the role of government continues to expand, it becomes increasingly important to support candidates seeking federal office who understand the legislative issues facing optometry. Since the composition of the U.S. Congress changes so frequently, AOA-PAC's role must be a continuing one. AOA-PAC, as well as the AOA Washington Office, is your voice in the nation's capital.  To donate now:  https://www.aoa.org/advocacy/aoa-pac

Free Resource for QPP MIPS Assistance

Did you know there is a free resource for QPP MIPS assistance?

Mountain-Pacific is here to assist you, at no cost, to be successful with reporting Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS). As a contractor with Medicare, we are here to support all clinics and providers who are affected by the new Medicare Quality Payment Program (QPP) beginning in 2017. According to our reports we show many optometrists throughout the state are included in MIPS and could face a 4% negative payment adjustment if they do not report for the 2017 performance year.

Our team has experts and specialists who assist clinics with MIPS each day and we welcome the opportunity to provide education and support to your clinic to help you understand the MIPS program and how you can be successful in reporting.  To take advantage of this no cost offer, please take a short online assessment http://mpqhf.com/QIO/qpp-enroll/.  Once you have completed the assessment, we will reach out to you to set up an appointment to review the specifics of your clinic and find the best measures and methods for your clinic to report MIPS and be successful at avoiding a penalty for not reporting.

For further information, here are a few additional resources:

  1. A short, but comprehensive, document outlining the components of the MIPS program:  https://qpp.cms.gov/docs/QPP_Quick_Start_Guide_to_MIPS.pdf
